Bowl Week 1 Predictions – #NCAABowlPredictions

Every week we will turn in our predictions for the Bowl Games that are happening over the next 7 days.

Bowl Week 1 features:

New Mexico Bowl: BYU vs UTEP; We are picking BYU in a clash of barely eligible teams. This one was a tough pick because of how inconsistent BYU was this year. Fortunately 4 of their 6 losses were to teams that finished in the Top 25. The other two were to a good Air Force squad and a scrappy Utah State. UTEP on the other hand lost to some pretty miserable competition. The final advantage to BYU is that they play in this stadium every other year when the face New Mexico.

Humanitarian Bowl: Northern Illinois vs Fresno State; This should be a great match-up. I am still considering going to the game. We will see. NIU just missed out winning their Conference Championship Game and they have been a dang good team all year. Fresno State is also an impressive team that beat Cincy the first game that the Bearcats were defending the Big East title. However, they also got shut out 51-0 by Boise State. But then again, they almost beat Nevada. We are taking Fresno in a close one.

New Orleans Bowl: Ohio vs Troy; I didn’t realize until doing some research on this match-up that both teams did well this year. While impressed with both, I am going with Troy due to the fact that Alabama to New Orleans is way easier than Ohio to New Orleans. I think Troy will have more fans and will pull it out in another good match-up.

Until next week!  (We are so excited to pick the winner of the Beef ‘O’Bradys Bowl!!!!!)
