Sprague Lake – Rocky Mountain National Park – #TravelTuesday

When I was a teenager I got the opportunity to go to Rocky Mountain National Park and stay about a 1-1.5 mile hike from Sprague Lake.  Growing up in the Midwest, I hadn’t seen mountains in person yet.  Later in life I would not only visit them, I would live in the foothills for several years.  Sprague Lake was a beautiful spot that allowed me to have some peace and quiet in the midst of a busy teenage life.  As I got older, I grew to appreciate places I could getaway and enjoy peacefully, much like this lake.  Sprague Lake also serves as a great starting spot for several great hikes.  If you find yourself looking for a getaway and you want to have some easy to moderate mountain hiking, visit Rocky Mountain National Park and find your way to Sprague Lake.
