NCAA Top 25 Poll – #NCAATop25

Pretty standard results, we are cutting our list at 20 as the Top 16 get considered for BCS Bowls and there are still games next week that will influence the bottom.  Here is our Top 25/20:

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Houston
4. Boise State
5. Virginia Tech
6. Michigan State
7. South Carolina
8. Oregon
9. Oklahoma State
10. Stanford
11. Georgia
12. Wisconsin
13. Kansas State
14. TCU
15. Michigan
16. Arkansas State
17. Oklahoma
18. Nebraska
19. Arkansas
20. BYU

I know that a drop from 4 to 19 may be a bit harsh from Arkansas but the main reason was that they are irrelevant to the BCS as they are no longer eligible.  However, if they do stay in the Top 16 of the actual BCS they and USC are squatting on spots for other teams.  If Georgia is able to remain in the top sixteen spots of the BCS with a loss to LSU would mean that 3 of the 16 rankings are occupied by ineligible teams.  Stay tuned for our BCS Bowl Projections.

There is always debate about who should be on a Top 25 Ranking. We decided to show something new this year. If you are ranked and lose, you are off the rankings until you win your way back on. You win your way on by beating a ranked team. If a ranked team beats a ranked team they get both rankings. If they later lose, they lose all their rankings. This is what the AP Top 25 would look like after Week Thirteen’s Action:
