Schell’s Oktoberfest – #ThirstyThursday

Recently I returned to Minnesota for my college reunion.  After finishing the days activities, I decided to pay a visit to the old watering hole.

Back in the old college days, my friends and I avoided the Buds, Millers and Coors and often found ourselves going for the local Schell’s brand of beer.  It was affordable and had some really good seasonals.  For nostalgia sake, I ordered a Schell’s Oktoberfest.  Great idea!

The beer is smooth and sweet.  The crystal flavor of the malt plays so well and reminded me why I love fall.  The beer had a nice malty flavor that was almost sugary on the back end.  It goes down smooth and is worth a try.  I’m sorry I can’t give you much more information.  It was smooth and I quickly had 3 down the pipes.  It comes in at 5.5% ABV.
