One day while shopping at Whole Foods I spent some extra time in the chip and cracker aisle while my girlfriend was looking for paraben-free moisturizer. Coconut Hula Creems were on sale and they caught my eye. I had been looking for something that I could snack on at work so I bought a couple boxes and decided to give it a try.

The Pros

The crackers come in little packages that are perfect for snacking. You get 4 nice sized (about 2.5″ in diameter) crackers per package and it is just enough to get you through that 2-3pm funk. The coconut flavor is delicious and not at all fake. It is as thought you had dipped them in coconut oil without getting the greasiness. Goes well with chocolate peanut butter.

The Cons

I enjoy spreading peanut or almond butter on my crackers for a little extra protein to keep me from having a carb spike and drop-off. The coconut flavor does not blend well with a lot of the flavors. While the chocolate peanut butter worked well, but maple and plain did not. I am going to try getting the plain flavored crackers to see how they compare with the nut butters. Another con is the amount of saturated fat you get from these, granted it is from coconut, but it is still a little high. The only other con was that the nutrition information is based on 3 crackers and the packets contain 4 crackers. A little weird.

The Verdict

These are super tasty and are a great work snack and you would be wise to go to your nearest provider of these delicious crackers and stock up. Stay tuned to find out what we think of the plain ones (if we can find them) and the graham crackers (we have already had these).
