The following is a repost of our review now that the beer is released:

If you have read this blog before, you know that I:

1) Love Grand Teton Brewing.
2) Hate most Belgian beers.

I received an advance sample of Oud Bruin, the latest in GTBC’s Cellar Reserve series and I was more than a little nervous when I saw that it was a Belgian Ale. However, much to my surprise, the sweetness of the beer helped cancel out the yeastiness its Belgian heritage. This is definitely a drinkable beer. If you are a fan of Belgian Ale’s I could see you being disappointed with the sweetness of the beer. If you are not necessarily a fan of Belgian beers I think you will enjoy how the sweetness, maltiness, and yeastiness dance together in a delicious blend. At 6% ABV it is definitely going to be a beer you want to share as it is coming in 22 oz bottles, but it is going to be refreshing whether you have it now or 3-4 months later after you have cellared it a bit. Give it a taste, we think it is a choice you won’t regret.
