It is week one of the NFL playoffs. We are making our predictions, but we do want to let you know, since we have a horse in the race, we won’t be making a prediction of that team but we will provide analysis.

AFC Match-up #1
Kansas City at Indianapolis
Analysis: Kansas has been turned around and there are several people with chips on their shoulders. Alex Smith is going to show that he is a good QB, Andy Reid that he is a good coach. I am going to take KC in a close one.

NFC Match-up #1
New Orleans at Philadelphia
Analysis: At the beginning of the season I would have picked New Orleans easily. Now it is not so easy. Chip Kelly has done well with his team but I am going to lean New Orleans.

NFC Match-up #2
San Francisco at Green Bay (NO PICK)
Analysis: SF has had Green Bay’s number the last two years. 3 wins in 3 games. Kaepernick destroyed Green Bay in the playoffs last year with his legs. The Green Bay defense did a much better job against the run in the meeting earlier this season but the secondary got burned. If Green Bay can defend the run at a manageable level and can contain Boldin, this is their game. The Packers will be aided by Mother Nature as this game is supposed to be the second coldest in Lambeau history. Seeing some drunk Wisconsinite without a shirt in sub-zero temps has an affect on players. I remember that from the run to the Super Bowl back in the 1990s.

AFC Match-up #2
San Diego at Cincinnati
Analysis: This match-up could be a good one. Rivers had a good season and San Diego exceeded expectations. Despite Rivers helping my fantasy team at the end of the year, I think Dalton will lead the Bengals to the next round.
