As mentioned in the post on the Radio Room, we spent Thanksgiving in Portland. While there we stumbled across an event hosted by the distilleries of Distillery Row in Portland. We were familiar with a few of the spirits that came from the row and we knew most of the distilleries by name but we had not had enough time in previous visits to stop in a sample. At the event we were able to sample some liqueur from New Deal Distillery. At Christmas my parents brought a bottle of Kringle Cream from Nordic Distillers in Wisconsin.

Loving the taste of coffee, chocolate, and Kringle we decided to try our hand at mixology and to come up with a cocktail that would blend these flavors well. Drawing inspiration from the White Russian we created the Danish Breakfast. Here is the recipe:

Danish Breakfast
1 oz Kringle Cream
1 oz New Deal Coffee Liqueur
1 oz New Deal Mud Puddle

Fill a low ball with ice, add Kringle Cream, Coffee Liqueur, and Mud Puddle, stir, and enjoy.
